Medical Transcription is a program designed for those students who want to enter into the law enforcement, insurance, criminal justice and business industries as an at-home transcriptionist.
This program includes instruction in the proper use of equipment, as well as in terminology, formatting, grammar and punctuation, improper English, including slang and verbatim, and confidentiality.
Course Prerequisites:
- High School diploma or GED equivalency
- Pass a basic MS Word knowledge test
- Pass a typing test – minimum 50 wpm
- Pass a background check
