Andrews and Holbrook Training Corp.'s nationally recognized medical transcription component and training program prepares you to start a new career as a medical transcriptionist. As one of AHDIs nationally approved schools, A&H Training Corp. offers its comprehensive medical transcription program in three different methods providing various levels of academic support and teacher assistance.
Our Medical Transcription component consists of authentic dictation including letters, progress notes, pathology reports, history and physical reports, discharge summaries, consultation reports and operative notes. These work types are dictated in various dialects covering all medical specialties. In addition to hands-on transcribing, the student is also trained in voice recognition editing and goes through an instructor-guided externship. Students are instructed in industry-related equipment necessary for appropriate job performance, HIPAA regulations, employment opportunities, transcription resources and the use of technology.

Component Prerequisites:
- High School diploma or GED equivalency
- Pass a basic MS Word knowledge test
- Pass a typing test minimum 40 wpm
- Pass a basic computer Windows test
