Sue obtained an AAS degree from Hudson Valley Community College in Medical Secretarial Science and has been working in the field of medical transcription since 1980. She acquired her CMT in 1994. Sue has been working full-time from home for the last 17 years.
Sue attributes her career choice as a medical transcriptionist to the ability to work from home while raising her children. She enjoys this exciting and challenging field as well as teaching at A&H and working with the students in such a positive and progressive environment.
"What is most important to our physicians is QUALITY, QUALITY, QUALITY! It takes top priority over productivity. All the reports typed have to be 100% error free. Excellent knowledge of medical terminology is a must. Our staff transcribes a total of 200 - 300 radiology and medical reports daily.
We have hired several graduates of the A&H transcription school who had no prior transcription experience and have proven to be excellent transcriptionists."
