Medical transcription is downloaded from the internet from a medical transcription service organization (MTSO).  Because of that, medical transcription is a portable career that can be done anywhere in the world as long as you have an internet connection.  For example, you could be working for an MTSO based in New York State, living in Wyoming and transcribing on an account in California. So when you are transferred from one base to another, your career moves with you.
