Robin attended Powelson Business Institute and received an Associates Degree in Business in 1980. She first became involved with medical transcription while working for Queens Medical Center Hospital in Honolulu, HI from 1981-84. Robin relocated to the Albany area in 1984 where she started Andrews Transcribing Inc. (ATI). ATI grew from a one-woman enterprise into a 28+ employee corporation utilizing over 200 independent contractors across the United States and internationally.
ATI was acquired in 2000 by MedQuist, the largest medical transcription service organization in the world. It was during this time that Kathleen and Robin received their approval license from the New York State Education Department to open the doors of Andrews & Holbrook Training Corp. (A&H). Since that time, A&H has been steadily growing and has successfully placed thousands of graduates into rewarding, long-term careers.
Robin's vast knowledge, intuitiveness and marketing skills have enabled A&H to earn their prestigious reputation for educating and placing highly qualified graduates in the healthcare industry.

Kathleen began her career in surgical pathology in a large hospital as a clerk typist holding secretarial positions while earning her Associates Degree in Business Management. She then received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Community and Human Services with a concentration in healthcare administration at Empire State College in 2002. Kathleen has spent 30 years in the healthcare industry in both management and support staff capacities. Her management experience includes supervising support staff in the areas of medical records, transcription, admitting, and business administration.
In February 1993, Kathleen opened her own business, Professional Medical Office Services, providing business services to healthcare offices in the Capital District. Although she initially grew her transcription business, her main concentration shifted to A&H after meeting Robin Andrews in 1999 and opening A&H in 2000.
In January 2007, Kathleen completed a second four-year degree in Criminal Justice, which has proven essential in teaching the Non-Medical Transcription course at A&H. With Kathleen's experience, education and entrepreneurial spirit, she has helped grow A&H into a thriving and successful career-focused school.
