Andrews & Holbrook Training Corp.'s Prerequisites In order for students to participate in any of the A&H Training Corp.'s courses, individuals must meet the following eligibility prerequisites:
- High school diploma or GED equivalency
- Pass a basic computer knowledge quiz
- You also must meet the PREREQUISITES for the individual course track you plan to take unless you select the "TEST-OUT" option for that course.
- The "TEST-OUT" feature is not an option for the Self-Paced Medical Transcription Program.
Understanding the "Test-Out" Option:
If a student has previous experience in a relevant medical field, then a student may elect to "Test-Out" or be exempt from having to take either Medical Terminology and/or Basic Anatomy.
To be eligible for testing out of Medical Terminology and/or Basic Anatomy, you need to have completed the course within the last year or be a practicing healthcare provider. Proof of this will be required. The final decision of whether or not a candidate is eligible to "Test-Out" is determined by the director of Andrews & Holbrook Training Corp. You will be notified via email whether or not you may proceed with testing out and then follow the instructions to do so.
In such a case:
- A multiple choice, true/false and fill in the blanks Medical Terminology test will be administered. Upon passing the Terminology test, a multiple choice, true/false and fill in the blanks Anatomy test will then be administered.
Each test costs $150.00
Upon a successful passing score, the student will be given a credit for the appropriate course. If a student fails the exam, the $150.00 fee will then be applied toward the tuition of that same course.
After you have Registered and received written approval from the director at A&H, you may select the "Test-Out" option from the Student Lounge, which is where you will be redirected when you log-in.
Please feel free to contact us at 1-866-783-3800 or complete our online information request form, if you have any questions about the "Test-Out" option.
